My name is Dawn L. Maddox, Owner of “Dawn’s Family Tree, LLC”. Born and raised in Forestville, MD, I have four children: Maverick, David-Cartez, Ze’Nas, and Bryan II. I started out as a family childcare provider within the United States Military (Army) in 1996 stationed in Ft. Irwin, CA. Moving forward, I have provided care throughout the United States(Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Riley, KS, Fort Knox, KY, and Fort Hood, TX .) Including overseas experience in Freiburg, Germany. After 15 years of working under the Military, I returned home and transitioned into civilian childcare starting in 2011. From 2011- 2016, I worked with “Rising Generations Early Learning Center” in Capitol Heights, MD. In August of 2016, my love and passion for caring for children drove me to open my own business.
I am dedicated to providing the love and support your child needs to reach their developmental milestones, while providing a safe environment they can be themselves. Our goal here at “ Dawn’s Family Tree, LLC” is to provide your child with the best early childhood education to equip them with the necessary tools to be as successful as possible in life.
Mission
To provide high quality and developmentally appropriate childcare programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We will focus on the individual child and the ability to stimulate social, cognitive, physical, and emotional growth while creating an environment that teaches the importance of family, hard work, dedication, and consistency.

To provide a safe, nurturing, loving, and educational environment for all children. At Dawn’s Family Tree, LLC, we strive to ensure that all children reach their full potential.

We believe a child’s positive early experiences enrich and stimulate future growth. Children deserve to be treated and respected as individuals in an environment that welcomes reason, exploration, question, and imagination. We respect each child’s need for love, security, acceptance, warmth, and stimulation.
